It happens to me often however, I've learned not to trust my thoughts , but be steadfast in my intentions and goals instead. Our thoughts are the saboteurs that prevent us from reaching our goals and achieving our highest hopes. Evolutionary psychologists suggest that this sabotaging is an adaptive mechanism to safeguard us from danger. In the modern world that we live in the threat we faced thousands of years ago isn't common anymore. However, our biology remains the same as we have similar mental models that allows us to make crucial choices. So, what does this mean to you? You're one step away from a better life which can have a transformative impact. It is important to comprehend our thinking, so we don't fall prey to the person who is trying to convince us that things are worse than they are. Everybody talks about having more motivation. I don't accept motivation is the problem because it can only get you so far and if you are unable to find motivation What happens next? We ought to establish the right goals and create good habits that lead to strong moral character. I'm not talking about your character that defines you as a good or bad person. It's about character in which you commit to your goals and purpose and follow through with them regardless of what. For instance, if your plan is to exercise for four days a week, character says you will show up for four days each week, with the exception of when you are sick. Are you confident in the notion that the next decision you make will improve you in ways that you never imagined? Now I can hear you think: "Tony, I make choices every day and none of them have changed my life." Yes, but are you making decisions from a place of fear, regret and worry or based on motivation and excitement? This type of commitment strengthens your dedication to your goals and goals, where the former weakens it. The commitment you make is tied to your character, and if you don't keep your promises, we lose trust in ourselves. We must perform the things we promise to do, as long as it is tied to a good intention. So, we need to understand our motives. For instance, are we working towards improving our life or running away from something deleterious? Accept The Fate Of Our Choices Our choices can make a difference in the quality of our lives since they are based on the values we hold dear and serve a purpose. Psychologists say that the principle of pleasure is where people seek pleasure and avoid any pain they can. The problem is that pain can strengthen our character and increase our dedication to our goals. The pain helps us recognize what is important to us, and let the unnecessary or unproductive actions. Be careful not to become pleasure seekers and understand the motivations behind our actions more fully. Are you beginning to feel more confident that your choices can create a remarkable life when you are confident about your choices? To do this, you must know yourself as well as having wisdom and experience. Some of the wisest individuals I've met experienced great difficulties and suffering throughout their lives. They've been through hardship and gained valuable insights into themselves as they went along. Oscar Wilde once said: "Experience is the hardest teacher; it gives you the test before the lesson." Yet many people don't heed instructions until they're too late. Even then they continue to make the same mistakes over again. In many ways, they are similar to mice running around the maze, not knowing how to play the game. However, our choices are able to be decisive and alter our life, provided they're in line with our highest goals. It's not required to make difficult choices that sway our lives. Perhaps we're able make these choices when we're young, but as we mature it is important to be able to learn from our mistakes and make well-informed decisions. In the end, we have to trust our own abilities and take on the outcome of our choices instead of believing the world is a struggle. We are powerful beings and many people don't recognize this power and resign themselves to the status quo. The pleasure and pain help us discern how our choices impact our lives when we look at them with a keen eye. In this regard, I'd like you to think about your most recent choices. Did they reflect your primary goal or were they impulsively made? Think about: "What is important to me and what am I willing to sacrifice to attain this?" Live by those values and I'm sure your next decision will make a difference in your life beyond what you ever imagined.
